The Magnolia warbler is one of the more common warblers. It is a small, active, insectivore. It is called "Magnolia" because the bird that first described the species was collected from a Magnolia tree.

Habitat and food
Open coniferous and mixed coniferous-deciduous woodland, overgrown pastures and edges of swamps and ponds

Migration and winter range
It winters in Mexico, Central America (Panama), Greater Antilles and the Bahama Islands
