Did you know that coffee is rated on a point scale, just like wine?
Coffee Review — the world’s leading coffee guide — reviews and judges coffees on a point scale for Aroma, Acidity, Body, Flavor and Aftertaste. We frequently submit our coffee to be reviewed and judged based on these qualties, and we consistently earn high scale-points ranging from 90-100.
Here are ratings and reviews of some of our outstanding coffees over the past few years:
B Corp — Best for the World
Thanksgiving Coffee has been a Certified B Corporation since November, 2015.
We have consistently been honored as a “Best of the World Honoree” in the “Community” category for 2016, 2017 and 2018, and truly appreciate this recognition.
Our B Impact Score
Our Current (June 2019) overall B Impact Score is 103.7 out of 200 (the median score for most businesses is 50.9). Our score reflects a combined total of the following Impact Areas: Governance: 16.4; Workers: 21.5; Community: 38; and Environment: 27.6. These impact scores are certified by B Lab — the non-profit that certifies B Corporations — businesses using their power to solve social and environmental problems.
2019 Good Food Awards Winner
Thanksgiving Coffee’s Upsetter Espresso has been named a Winner of the 2019 Good Food Awards!
Over 170 coffees from each U.S. region – North, South, East, West and Central — were submitted to a blind tasting to be judged by the Good Food Foundation. In each category, three food crafters receive the honor each year. We are proud and honored to be a winner of the Coffee category in this prestigious competition.
The Winning Coffee
Upsetter Espresso is a one-of-a-kind blend of coffees from around the world. This unique espresso is smooth and balanced, with complexities not found in single origin brews. Our Roastmaster, Jacob Long, spent a year developing this exciting advancement in espresso coffees, searching for just the right mix of varietals to roast to perfection.
“Thanksgiving Coffee has continually innovated and brought a passionate and consistent voice on behalf of coffee as a source of pleasure and a force for justice in the world. Over its history, Thanksgiving has changed with the world, but its leadership and commitment to coffee quality and to social, economic and environmental responsibility has not wavered.”
